I was walking back from the library with our little one in the stroller—I had to get out of the house for a little while today to enjoy the last of the sun for the next who-knows-how-long—and we saw a neighbor kid walking a big puppy. Even I who have nothing to do with dogs know that it was a puppy because of how bouncy and excited she (it turned out to be) was, along with how much he had to really work to control her. I pointed out the doggie to our little one and she pointed back. My neighbor then took control of the puppy and asked if we wanted to see their puppy and she started walking closer to us. And that’s when she said,
“Why, she’s the same color as your boots!”
And that’s when she said,
“And that’s what I’m going to turn her into, if she keeps it up!”
It’s true about the color. I found a photo of what the puppy looked like.
Oh, did I mention that it was a pit bull?
Oh, did I mention that it was the little one’s boots?
