listening to Bill Evans

I’ve been listening to the Pandora station of Bill Evans today. What a wonderful invention, this internet.

I don’t have patience to download songs and all that. Pandora does it for me, so I’ll listen to a few commercials every once in a while without sweating. And I don’t have to put up with American Public Radio nonsense.

I’ll be holier than thou on my own terms, thank you very much.

Now back to the message at hand. They linked in this fellow, Tord Gustavsen and his Trio.

Why is it so pleasing to me?

It’s minimalistic, yet powerfully poignant.

On a day when I’m fighting a caffeine-induced headache, plus so much pain in the world at large, it’s just what the doctor ordered.
