Well, that’s only technically true, but it’s certainly not spiritually true. It’s all about links. After all Shavuot is coming. It’s the linking of all of Bnei Yisrael to the experience on Har Sinai, and it’s the linking of Ruth and Boaz to David HaMelech. But there’s nothing here to click on today.
We have a new grandbaby girl. A girl! We will see what the name will be, but I can hear my mother, a”h, saying, “It’s about time!”
Of course, that’s all what babies are about.
This baby waited for ISHI to get on the plane before her descent. He’ll have to meet her through Skype and Facebook, like the rest of the world.
We hope to go into the hospital later on today with the new BIG brother and meet this new wonder. I will bring a lot of tissues along with my camera.
Right now I am going to take a little nap. This baby also decided to come out just after I had fallen asleep after going to a lovely wedding in Yerushalayim. And I got up and dressed and came over to spend the night with the BIG brother-still-to-be while the parents went off to the hospital. After all, the contractions were coming fast enough and they don’t live right next door.
Thank G-d babies like getting born at night so that the parents don’t have to fight traffic. Or else a lot more babies would be born on the road.
And, of course, my mother’s yahrzeit is this Sunday, so it really is all about time.
