In Hebrew, pay attention is sim lev, which literally means “place heart”.  It points out the power of the language, maybe that Mediterranean hot-tempered thing, of the power of the heart.

But if we could remember how we have that power to put our heart in, to remember our hearts as we use our heads, maybe we would all be better off.
